Since ancient times agate was used to engrave persons of importance that represent the age. I’m my series of signature rings, I am engraving persons that reflect our time. For me, Instagram influencers represent this image. Influencer is a million dollar business which provides us with a lifestyle that millions of people like and follow.

Influencer like Kylie Jenner, Justin Bieber or Kim Kardashian ern millions by selling their own pictures as emoji’s. You can buy their signature picture and use it virtually for sending messages. For me this practice is nothing else than a virtual signature ring.  By engraving their emoji’s into the Plagate, I want to illustrate the spirit of our time.
